Here are 5 things we thought worth sharing about America from this past quarter:
- May 7th, 1945 Nazi Germany surrenders and ends WWII in Europe
- A movie Vets loved from this past year, Midway. A story of the Battle of Midway that took place June 4-7th 1942.
- A book we just finished in respects of Lincoln’s Assassination on April 15, 1865, Killing Lincoln written by Bill O’Reilly
- Some inspirational art from the Battle of Midway is the Sinking Sun, an oil on canvas painted by Griffith Baily Coale.
- And lastly and our favorite, Story of a Veteran. This quarter we’re meeting Adone “Cal” Calderone, who upon the USS Virginia during Pearl Harbor was just 21 years old when eight torpedos and 4 air bombs struck their ship…. read more about him and his story here.
